This 4-story building brings 57 new one-bedroom units for our senior citizens, in addition to some helpful site improvements around the existing Tigard Senior Center, including a new connection to the Fanno Creek Trail. Built on a steeply sloped site, the team navigated extensive site and utility work in addition to preserving the delicate wetlands adjacent. Eight apartments are for formerly homeless individuals, including five for formerly homeless veterans. Located next to an active senior center and near public transit and the library, this new development is located on a site owned by the City of Tigard alongside the Tigard Senior Center and Meals on Wheels, and close to the town’s center.
Featured in the new project is an easy pick-up and drop-off space for senior activities, manager and resident services offices, a lobby with a fireplace and a community room with a teaching kitchen and meeting spaces, as well as ADA-accessible walk-in showers.
