Northwest Housing Alternatives’ Buri Building is a transit-oriented development located in Portland’s Gateway neighborhood. The 91,000-square-foot, 159-unit structure consists of 102 studios, 51 one-bedroom, and six two-bedroom units of workforce housing. Also included are resident services office space, a courtyard, community room, bike parking, and common laundry and utility spaces. The Buri Building is a designated Regional Center in Metro’s 2040 Growth Concept Plan and is the first project in the area that requires a pedestrian path to improve circulation in the large blocks of the Gateway district.
